Concave arched sole with a precise radius R50 for cello/bass enable to shape and chamfer the fingerboard effectively and precisely. HSS blades with outstanding durability on ebony.

Herdim planes have been developed together with violinmakers more than 20 years ago. Materials and its function are under constant improvement process.
Slight side faces to work close to the edge, thick sole, which can be worked if required. Brass body and high quality blade, hardened to approx. 60 HRC.
